Hi my name is Tim Duke with Premiere Detailing and I'm going to show you how to polish aluminum car parts. Now what we have here is just some alloy wheels, aluminum alloy, all aluminum and what you would kind of classify as aluminum is kind of like running boards, some wheels have aluminum polishes, sometimes the grills have the aluminum polish on them as well just things that polish up real nicely. What you want to do is the same sort of thing, you just want to spray it with a citrus degreaser especially on the wheels a lot because they get a lot of grease and brake dust. You just kind of use a blue nonscratch sponge. You just want to kind of go over that just real lightly to just kind of wetten everything, kind of loosen it up and it comes off fairly easy with the sponge. If you have any problems after that you kind of go over it with, I use a multi-purpose little toothbrush. You just kind of get in the cracks real good. The toothbrush just gets into real fine areas that it is just hard to reach with your hands which makes it a lot simpler. Old toothbrushes work or a multi-purpose brush, you can pick it up at Auto Zone, works just the same. Once you are done with that you just kind of wipe it all off and see where you are at from there and depending on the polish you are desiring you can also go with a little bit of aluminum polish. That is what we have here. See that is some of the dirt and things we have got off. So you are just going to want to start with a little bit of aluminum polish, just kind of a little dip is about all you need. You just kind of work it in here with a towel, just work it in until it is all good and polished out and drying and you buff it off with a clean portion of the towel and in here you have got yourself some polished aluminum.
