If you have six figures to spend, consider the Cayenne Turbo and Cayenne Turbo S. The Cayenne Turbo starts at around $114,000 and makes 520 horsepower, while the top-of-the-line Turbo S starts at about $159,000 and makes 570 horsepower.
The Cayenne S and GTS have twin turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 engines that make 420 and 440 horsepower, respectively. They also have an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Turbo and Turbo S Cayenne models have V8 engines, with the Turbo’s putting out 520 horsepower to move the Cayenne Turbo to a top speed of 173 miles per hour. Porsche is very careful to note that all top speeds are “top track speeds” (emphasis added) so we should probably do the same. The V8 engine on the Cayenne Turbo S model makes 570 horsepower, and that model has a top track speed of 176 mph.
The Swiss tuning firm Sportec has released a new package for the Porsche Cayenne II Turbo called the SP580. First, the engine customizations consist of an ECU reprogramming to increase the 4.8-liter V8 turbo engine to 580 PS and 700 Nm of torque. At the track, the results show a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds, while the top speed was improved to 285 km/h. The turbo Porsche Cayenne is now able to handle these speeds with beefed up 6-piston calipers up front, 4-piston calipers at the rear, and new vented brake discs.
